Powerful venting, great features!

Happy with this microwave so far, it has great features for cooking and reheating, love the auto sensor features. The light and fan go on automatically when I turn on my GE cooktop, this is a pretty cool high-end feature usually found in Bosch range/hood combinations. Chef Connect feature makes syncing super easy never had issues with it even after power outages. We have our microwave vented to outside and it's very powerful! I'm impressed at the amount of air it can move.

GE Microwave

Stainless Microwave 6/8/2026

Old GE microwave had a touch pad and were able to input 1-15 sec time. New microwave has a dial and only able to start at 15 sec. Inside is deeper under the turn plate making it harder to clean. the vents on top above door are exposed which will over time create an issue to clean out. Old microwave had a swinging door that closed when not in use. One would thing that all GE microwaves would have same hanging brackets and hole patterns. This was completely different making installation longer to do. You would think they were smart enough to do this to encourage buying another GE microwave. Have to get use to the turn knob on this unit. The capacity is quite large not sure if I will need all space? I hope to get use to the turn knob and the way to input time. Time will tell. Hope this lasts as many years as old GE microwave did 27 years and it still works. Wife wanted new one :(

Terrible Product - Even worse Customer Service

Oh i wrote a review - it was awful! I taked about how the buttons stick adn do not respnd - and GE respnded with " we assure you with continued use the microwave will lossen up' and start responding' ad working like it should. I'm sorry i paid $600 for a micorwavbe that needs coddling, coxing and little fondling before it works like its supposed to - like what i paid for? Then GE tells me to contact their customer support for the chef connect that has NEVER worked after i said their customer support is NO HELP. and they NEVER once addressed that it is louder than Artemis taking off from the launchpad! God forbid there is a sleeping baby within 100 miles of this thing! Poor form GE!! Poor Form!

Buyer Beware - DO NOT BUY!!

The absolute WORST microwave I have EVER OWNED! You can only set in 15sec increments, loudest microwave on the planet! Chef connect - does not connect! Pressing the Chef Connect button for 3 sec is hit or miss - sometimes you have to hold it over and over before it responds - like most of the controls! I paid almost $600 for this? The controls are almost IMPOSSIBLE to push, you have to press them repeatedly to get them to respond - their ™€˜fingerprint less™€™ design is a joke! Connecting with support is ever more hysterical- I bought 6 GE appliances at one time, you think I could get a little help! Tried to add images/video of how loud this thing is- review would allow and how it took 39sec not 3 for chef connect to even respond (not connect). Inferior is an understatement. I™€™m ready to put this trash on FB marketplace!

We have had this microwave for 3 years. While under warranty we had to door switch repaired at least five times. Since the warranty expired I have spent $150 in service calls. Now it is broken again. GE doesn™€™t make them like they used to.

Whack Handles with no replacement

I™€™m tired of GE and their plastic handles! You make an over the range microwave knowing that over the range cooktops will have heat rising. You have a plastic handle that essentially gets damaged without a doubt overt time and when I say overt time, I™€™m talking about within a year. This is my second microwave with that dumb handle that has a plastic coating that looks like stainless steel. It starts to crinkle, it starts to peel, and before you know it, the white plastic handle starts to appear almost like skin being peeled off of bones. Whack design, and they have not done anything about it and it™€™s something they are well aware of. If you want to replace the handle, you have to buy the entire door - really?

We love how spacious the microwave is and we can fit a large amount of items. The built in sensors for reheating food and popping popcorn work wonderfully. The controls are well designed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great microwave! Oh and it has a built in air fryer!
