Depth of cooktop (Thin) made it one of only a few that would fit in our island without major modifications. Overall a great choice for a basic electric glass cooktop without a lot of bells and whistles.

We love our cooktop. It heats up quickly and maintains an even heat. I like the multi heating elements on one of the elements I use the keep warm setting all the time. It wipes down great for uh-o™€™s that happen while cooking This cooktop is very versatile especially during the holidays when you need all five elements. We are very satisfied with our purchase

We are just finishing a total remodel of our kitchen and purchased this cooktop based on the experience with our prior unit made by KitchenAid. Unfortunately this was a bad decision. The unit was ordered in September last year direct from KitchenAid. The unit was just installed in July this year. First problem, the burner had a dark spot that was not heating. Called KitchenAid and a tech was sent by the Whirlpool approved repair vendor. I was told the dark spot was due to the way heating element was manufactured and he had not seen that before. They did install a new heating element and he called the Whirlpool tech to make sure nothing was wrong. The ironic thing is that element is called Even-Heat Ultra Power and it has a spot that does not heat. Second problem, the stove stopped working. Called again and a tech was sent. This the wiring had burned out due to the manufacturing not connecting the contacts fully. It needs a new heating element and a new wiring harness. The element is an easy item to get but the wiring at first was not available. Now we were told another week or so for it to be sourced. After three calls, two to KitchenAid and one to their repair vendor we are still waiting with no firm date. Seems odd that kitchen would sell a defective cooktop with a wiring issue and not just replace it. At this point I would never recommend this cooktop based on the experience with the product and customer service. This could have started a fire with the short. Its unfortunate in that it is US made. Whirlpool what ever happened to standing behind your products.

We really do not like this cooktop. Within the first few months, we had to have parts replaced because one of the burners would never cool down. Overall, the burners take way too long to cool down to another level, 30-40 seconds. We have burned so many things! We had another Kitchenaid cooktop for many years and it worked so much better. We are really sorry we are having to put up with this cooktop.

Great Cooktop but......

We purchased this cooktop a few weeks ago. Our previous cooktop was a KitchenAid and it was damaged and needed to be replaced. The unit had no issues for almost 20 years! We chose to stay with KitchenAid and this model because of the sleek, black color, the clean appearance, being completely touch controlled and no elevated dials. As soon as the unit powered on, I was disappointed by the dim digital display. The unit we looked at in the dealer showroom was not electrically connected and we could not see the display. The display was readable but, not easily readable. There was significant glare from the range hood that contributed to the problem. The "Hot Surface " warning light (the letter "H") was visible but dim and not prominent. We considered this a safety hazard and exchanged the unit for the the dialed version. Of course, we were charged a significant restocking fee. The performance of the cooktop was exceptional but, we were very dissatisfied with the digital display. I can not believe that we are the first customer to notice this issue.

I've had my oven for a month, and so far so good! I love all of the cooking features it offers from the Proof option to the Air Fry. I've never had a wall oven before and I love the height of it. No bending! It looks sleek and classy. Easy to operate! Really happy with it!

Scratches too easily

We are very happy with our new KitchenAid cooktop which replaced one that was 18 years old. Our only problem is that it scratches very easily. We did not expect this issue with the new unit and it kind of spoils our excitement.

Cooks good but with cleanup issues

I like this cooktop much better than my previous one. Works well, and easy to use. I still have an issue with the color of the top being black. It stays smuggled and dirty looking unless I clean immediately every time I use, and even has to be cleaned at least once a day. It is already showing come scratches even though I™€™m very careful not to move pans around on the top. I do wish they would have other options in color of cooktop.

1st time I had tried to use it and it will not operate. Looked at the trouble shooting guide and followed those steps and still not working. Tried to call for service help and was on hold for a 1/2 hour. When chose the option to be called back was given a timeframe of a week from my call. Tried to go on-line for help and same directions as in the booklet. Very frustrated

I attempted to replace my KitchenAid cooktop with a new one, only to find that the replacement has the same issues as the old one™€"two burners are defective. I even hired an electrician to check if the problem was with my home™€™s electrical system, but it turns out the product itself is faulty. Now, I™€™m still waiting for yet another replacement, but the delivery date is a month away. At this point, I don™€™t want the product anymore; I just want a refund.

I bought this cooktop back in September 2022. It final arrived in April 2023. But it was worth waiting for the exact cooktop I wanted. I didn't choose the induction because all my pans were not magnetic. I really like how the controls are arranged for quick choice of burners. No knobs means easier clean-up too. I need to get use to the settings because it seems to run hot. So far I like it alot!
