Overall the product does well. I purchased it Nov 2023 and it has been greatuntil Oct 2025. The fridge gave the i if code and trouble shot it to the fan inside the freezer. I noticed the problem started when the ice maker in the door was leaking water and not keeping the ice frozen. Now I got hunting for replacement parts. Overall it has been really good. The ice in the door and in the bottom of the freezer has been great for our family who used a bunch of ice for sports bottles for games and such. The inside is very spacious and I like the lighting the can be adjusted.

Shelving Design Feels Like a Step Back

We purchased the LG LRFXS3106S as a replacement for our old LG LFX31945ST which had a great split/adjustable shelf feature. Unfortunately this new model lacks that flexibilityits fixed shelves make it difficult to store tall items like gallon containers leaving only the side door as an option. The water dispenser also feels awkward to use with larger glasses or containers. We love LG appliances but this shelving design is a step back compared to our older model. It would be great if LG offered an optional split shelf for this fridge.

JUST BOUGHT THIS REFRIGERATOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND NOW THE ICEMAKER IS NOT WORKING. HAS A CODE IFE MEANS FAN MOTOR NOT WORKING. CHECKED BACK OF FREEZER TO BE SURE NOT FREEZING UP. So old fridge gave up after 20 years. Sticker shock on prices of new ones. I was going to cheap out with a basic side by side. Wife went withe me and we ended up with this LG for quite a bit more money. After three weeks and learning all the features the extra $$$ was well worth it. Works well and is awesome. Would buy again

Like other reviews one stars water taste terrible like clorine/plastic/chemical.look like the reviews with one star is the accurate and the rest is written by paid. Customer care is bot willing to resolve the issue or help. They just say something does not make sense for you to give up. At this point I have done multiple calls and send email to return the product and no one is taking any action to start the return process pr troubleshoot the problem. It is bought from LG.com

Clean looking and deep spacious storage

Lg provided this fridge to us as part of a promotion. The older fridge we had was 20 years old but the ice maker broke a long time ago. This fridge has two places where ice is made. One is tied to the upper door accessible from the outside and the other goes directly into the freezer. My kids love the ice makers. Its certainly a novelty for us. The doors for the fridge are quite thick. You need to be careful how that impacts your existing kitchen because when the doors open the clearance area matters. Its clean looking from the outside. In the inside the lights illuminate everything nicely. Theres even an air filter inside so the fridge doesnt smell. We havent tested that too much but it is something to be aware of because the filter would need to be changed some time in the future. The fridge has shelves that can be adjusted whichever way you want in height. I can imagine this being helpful if you want to defrost a turkey or store a large stock pot. Theres lots of shelves attached to the door for condiments. No issues there. Even without the promotion I wouldve seriously considered this fridge for purchase.

Run I dont recommend ordering a refrigerator from LG at all. First the expected delivery date could be a week out or more from what it first says on the website they lie. I paid for installation and moving my old fridge to a new room. The delivery crew contracted out by RXO LEFT my house neither installing the new one nor moving the old fridge. Emails to LG go unanswered. You wont get a return call from them if you ask for a callback. Reps speak hard to understand English and its like talking to a brick wall. What a joke. I shouldve ordered from a big box store which would have been cheaper really but I wrongly thought they would do a better job with install and moving.

This fridge has lots of space. Compared to other fridges that Ive had the temperature setting is accurate. It does a good job of recovering after putting in groceries. Ive seen a lot of reviews that complain about the water tasting like plastic. I had the same issue but replaced the hose LG shipped with a hose from Best Buy and it tastes great now. Just dont order the hose from LG and youll be fine. Water pressure is great and ice production is excellent.

This is the first LG appliance we have purchased other than our smart TV. We replaced a 12 year old GE Profile Refrigerator with this 31 cu. ft. LG French Door refrigerator and couldnt be more happy with our choice. This is the roomiest fridge weve ever owned with nice deep shelves and plenty of gallon storage on the door. Most importantly the LG is so much quieter than our GE and I believe much more efficient as it doesnt run the compressor as often as our old unit. Overall a great buy with features typical of much more expensive models

The inside the door icemaker for ice through the door hasnt worked since I bought it. I have been waiting for several weeks for service under warranty for these issues. Im the kind of person who does a ton of research and thinks things over before buying anything even something as small as baby wipes. Size and Organization The most important factors for me when choosing a fridge were its size and how easy it would be to organize. I usually do a big grocery run at Costco once a week and then make two or three smaller trips to the local grocery store throughout the week. Every time Id come back from shopping Id get stressed out because there wasnt enough space in the fridge. But now that problem is completely gone. This fridge has a lot of space and the shelves can be adjusted easily depending on the size of the items which makes it easy to see everything at a glance and keep it organized. There are two crisper drawers so I can keep vegetables in one and fruits in the other keeping them fresh for longer. The door has plenty of space for drinks so we always have cold beverages ready to go. 2. Design and Noise Its made of stainless steel so it looks good anywhere and its the kind of stainless steel that doesnt show fingerprints easily. My boys touch the fridge a lot and with some stainless steel that can make it look dirty really quickly. But thats not the case with this one Plus despite its large size the fridge is very quiet. 3. Smart Features You can control the fridge and freezer temperatures from your phone and you can also manage the ice maker through the app. The fridge has efficient energy-saving features like Smart Learner Smart Grid Night View and Sabbath mode. The energy monitoring feature also lets me track my usage patterns. The Manage Food tab is especially useful. After grocery shopping I list everything Ive bought in this tab. This helps me keep track of whats in the fridge so I can use everything up without wasting food and prepare healthy home-cooked meals. Its also a must-have for saving on groceries as it makes it easy to see what I need to buy next. Its been about a month since I started using this fridge and Im really happy with itits perfect for my needs. I dont get stressed out about organizing the fridge after grocery shopping anymore. I bought the LG 31cu. ft. Smart Standard Depth MAX French Door Refrigerator with Duel Ice Makers in PrintProof Stainless Steel I love the the overall design large double doors the fruit crispers and meat keepers the large ready tray drawer. But.. I wish It had come with the folding shelf. But I did figure out how to adjust the shelves on the right side so all is well. As for the in door ice maker its supposed to be craft ice It is not it is mini ice so I would say this is false advertising The freezer ice maker is as expected.. the freezer is large the top tray is easy to slide the big bottom tray has a divider.. Overall a fantastic Refrigerator again except for the fact it didnt come with the craft ice as advertised LG should make this right by changing it out in all the Refrigerators.its one of the main features I purchased this model.

Despite the response found from Anthony see picture this model doesnt make craft ice. Its not a deal breaker but I am disappointed. Additionally Im disappointed that after spending 98 minutes with customer service my best offer was 20 off a water filter. I could return the refrigerator but its not quite like returning a pair of shoes to a local retainer is it? I researched refrigerators prior to purchasing. I compared several models using information on manufacturers websites. Craft ice was a feature we were excited to have with this model. I searched until I found information in the picture. Its too soon to tell if the refrigerator is good or not. I will say we have a 3 foot wide door and my husband had to partially disassemble the refrigerator remove doors to get it in the house That was NOT easy.

No craft ice

Contrary to the information in the picture this model doesnt make craft ice. I want some kind of compensation from LG as I used that information to make my decision to purchase this refrigerator. The manual is for several models and when craft ice is described it states only for select models. However it doesnt designate which models. To determine if the model makes craft ice I searched on the LG website and found the answer. Unfortunately it was not accurate. However it wasnt until purchasing and receiving the unit that I realized it doesnt make craft ice. I called customer to find out how to use the craft ice suspecting that it didnt have the capability to learn that the customer service representative knew less than I did. After about an hour she was able to inform me that this model couldnt make craft ice. I had to send her pictures of my refrigerator even though I already gave her the serial and model numbers. I was passed on to her supervisor who was rude to me. I explained that I was misinformed via the LG website and sent them the picture attached. I really dont want to return the entire refrigerator as it was a huge undertaking to get it in my house * Its not like returning a pair of shoes I do want some type of compensation. I was offered a rebate on a new LG appliance. Hmmmmmm I just purchased a refrigerator and in May purchased an LG washer and dryer. Im hoping I have no need to purchase anything new for a while I was then offered 20 on a water filter. Id rather have a discount on some accessories for my washer and dryer like the stacking brackets and drawer base. I actually asked the customer service representative for a discount on that but nope My suggestion for LG is to provide better information in the owners manual. If a manual is for multiple models with different features indicate the specific model numbers with each feature. I hope someone from LG sees this review and tries to make me feel as though Ive been heard rather than accused of not sufficiently researching the model prior to purchase. I didnt look at the model in person prior to purchase. I looked at the website and manual. I found all of the information I needed except whether or not it made craft ice a feature we were looking for. I was happy to see my exact question asked and answered on the LG website with the model number so I felt confident it was correct. Im very disappointed to learn that this information is inaccurate and LG customer service implies that LG has no responsibility for the false information on their website. *My husband had to disassemble and reassemble doors to get into our house. Im thankful he has the tools time and ability it took to complete the task

No craft ice

In the qa Anthony answered that the LRFXS3106S can make craft ice. It was part of the reason we purchased this unit. After my husband spent over an hour getting the thing in my house and reassembled I discovered it actually doesnt make craft ice. Its a huge refrigerator and he had to remove the doors to get it in the house. Im thankful my husband has the ability time and tools it took to accomplish. I called customer service to confirm that this model doesnt have craft ice. I was hoping something would be offered to compensate for Anthonys misinformation on the LG website . However I was told that Anthony was a random customer. Even though Anthony responded to other questions as an LG representative. I was treated like a fool on the phone. I was questioned as to why I didnt contact customer service to inquire about craft ice prior to purchasing. Why would I have done that when I had already found the answer on the LG website?? Furthermore the rep that I initially spoke to couldnt even answer if my refrigerator makes craft ice or not She had the model number and serial number and I had to send her a picture of my ice maker. Hello I couldnt have done that until I had the unit. Furthermore I feel strongly that manuals should be made for specific models rather than one manual covering over 10 models. I dont want to return the refrigerator because its not like returning a pair of shoes. It would be a huge undertaking to get this back out of my house. I simply wanted something to compensate for the misinformation. The initial representative offered apologies but really couldnt do anything for me. After the initial representative sent me up the chain to her supervisor I received a reprimand and was treated like a fool for trusting the answer provided and told they couldnt do anything. Eventually I was offered 20 off a water filter or a rebate on a new appliance purchase. I just purchased a refrigerator and purchased a new LG washer and dryer in May. I hope I dont need to purchase any new appliances anytime soon I want a discount on something Im needing or planning to purchase. I want the brackets to stack my washer and dryer and the drawer/ stand for my washer. Maybe throwing one in for free or at least a discount on that would make me feel better. Since speaking to customer service I reported ANTHONYS answer and disliked it. Maybe the next person will not be misled regarding craft ice for LRFXS3106S. Im very unhappy with LG website and customer service. I generally like the products but this experience has been terrible.

Quality build and well designed

This refrigerator is fabulous. The quality of the build feels fantastic all shelves and drawers are still easily removable though for easy cleaning including the freezer drawer The doors open and close with little noise and the freezer drawer slides nicely. We especially like that the ice machine has two separate sizes. The one in the freezer is a more traditional ice cube size while on the fridge door it is smaller. The control for the ice machine and water dispenser in the door is easy to use and the opening is large enough to fit a bigger glass/bottle which is a huge plus. The temperature controls are very easily accessible and it came with very detailed instructions as to when and how to change out water filters and it even came with a replacement filter for when the time comes We have had this fridge for a week and not a day has gone by that hasnt felt like Christmas LOL. We had to remove some cabinetry to accommodate a more modern-sized fridge and I AM SO GLAD WE DID. It was so worth it. As a growing family the additional room this has given us has been great. I am not a person who prefers smart functions in kitchen appliances but the smart functions of this product are simple and satisfied. When it connected to an app on a cell phone the refrigerators status is notified. For example Sometimes my 6-year-old doesnt close the refrigerator door properly. App notifies you if the refrigerator door is not closed properly or if the water in the water purifier has not been used for a while. I havent checked all the features of the app yet but Im satisfied with it because its not too complicated and its easy to use. I love this refrigerator and highly recommend. I love my new slick design LG French door fridge I have 2 years old LG French so didnt expect much difference but it was surprisingly improved in many areas Larger capacity with more storage with larger bins more storage space in the doors closer lock for bottom freezer handle preventing slide opening itself when its fully loaded more convenient ice dispenser with dual ice makers easier to clean insider and outside with slick design Also fingerprint resistant stainless gives me no worry with kids small fingerprints left all over outside Shipping and setting up the fridge were smooth and very professional. So happy with my new pretty and quite LG refrigerator

I am living in two beds plus den in apartment and current GE Cafe refrigerator owner. We recently added brand new LG refrigerator because current GE one is not big enough to store all foods drink. Pros Generous volume and deeper than GE Cafe refrigerator Comes with water and ice filter Safe handle design that you actually lift up handle slightly to open bottom freezer Very quite and less generating heat The doors open wider than GE one. Cons Shelves are not sturdy enough comparing to GE one. I wish they offer more options to adjust shelves height so that I can store bottles upright. We are loving the LG LRFXS3106S refrigerator 1.Ice machine - Our last one took a long time to make ice and did not make very much but this one makes ice very quickly The kids love the crushed ice setting AND the additional ice machine in the freezer section has been great during this very hot summer. 2.Lots of Storage - With a family of 5 space is always needed and with this fridge there is plenty of space for snacks fresh produce and beverages. The storage bins are large which is helpful with the amount of fresh fruit and veggies we purchase and there is plenty of shelf space for all of our condiments. 3.Look of the fridge - I love the look of the fridge. Super impressed by this LG LRFXS3106S fridge I wasnt expecting much of a difference from my previous fridge except for the added door ice dispenser but I was pleasantly surprised. The ice dispenser is a super bonus. It has water cubed ice and crushed ice settings. Works great and is so convenient. The outside size of the fridge was the same as my old fridge but LG has managed to maximize the interior space. While the ice maker on the fridge door does take away a little of the door storage the other side makes up for it. Its super deep so you can store bottles cans etc. The increased storage continues in the freezer drawer. After putting all the items from my old fridge to this new one I still had a whole side empty It was overflowing my old freezer. Overall super happy with this fridge and would highly recommend. The fridge is great Lots of space great drawer for the freezer and everything is working well. We love the amount of ice that gets dispensed and having the bucket in the freezer has been gamechanging. Let that bucket fill up and it is enough to fill a cooler The shelves are easy to adjust and the large french style doors make so much more room. Really smart to have the drawers openable with just one door open The touch button for dispensing water and ice is in the center and you have to press multiple times to get the correct selection which is a bit strange. But it has not impeded our use of the fridge in any way We did notice that there is no place for butter storage on the door but not a big deal. Just different. Loving it so far I love how much I can fit in this fridge. Its not too much larger than my previous refrigerator but the design of the space is amazing. I love the deep sturdy shelves and even the smallest shelves underneath making use of all space available and perfect for the kids cheese snacks. The ice makers work great and makes a ton of ice. We just hosted the 4th of July and had plenty of ice for everyone the whole night. I also LOVE how easy it is to install/change the water filter. In the past I always had to have my husband figure that out but this one is right in the door and super quick and easy. The freezer is also a nice size and holds much more than I expected. I also love the app that allows you to connect to the fridge and change/monitor various features. A couple of things I would work on for future models: Produce drawers stick a little if too much weight like a couple gallons of milk/juice/etc are placed on shelves above. The left door handle door that ice maker is on feels as though it has a vibration in it sometimes. Im not sure if this happens on all of them if it is because of the ice maker or maybe an installation issue but it does not affect the use of the refrigerator so its only a small observation in general. Just found it a little strange. Finally I would like to see the water spout moved just a little further back to prevent spillage when using smaller mouth cups like kids cups and pushing the button with your cup. Not a big deal overall. In general I love this fridge and look forward to lots of great use of it for years to come. This refrigerator combines style functionality and advanced technology. Its spacious interior efficient cooling system and smart features make it a great choice for any household. The refrigerators smudge-resistant stainless steel finish is great we had a black fridge before and with a 5 year old there used to be little fingerprints all over. It offers ample storage with its large door bins. Its the same size as our previous one but after moving all our food it was clear how this lg has the better format allowing for more storage. For example different from our previous one this one has the water filter and ice maker placement in the door making for an extremely spacious fridge. The Air Flow system ensures great and even cooling. Our last one would freeze the items at the back. Additionally I enjoy the bright LED lighting and clear shelves which lets me see all the food. I like how the freezer drawers are easily removable making cleaning it a breeze. Overall the LG 3106S is a modern reliable refrigerator offering excellent performance and value. We are very satisfied with this new additiontoourkitchen.

We needed a refrigerator with greater capacity that could accommodate our growing family. We were so surprised at how much it could fit. It seemed like we couldnt fill it up completely no matter how hard we tried. The freezer has a slide out compartment which makes it convenient to organize things and have plenty of more space. What we loved about it most is that we were able to easily see the contents of both the refrigerator and the attached freezer so no food would go wasted. The door bins hold a surprisingly large amount items. I have already noticed that our food has been lasting longer We have already recommended this model to our friends and family

Fantastic Refrigerator

All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG.* After purchasing our first home and being given the fridge with the home our fianc and I knew that we were going to need a larger one. After the first few days this refrigerator greatly exceeded our expectations for our refrigerator upgrade. After waiting a few hours from plugging it in we already had ice in the freezer compartment and our water was flowing freely. The refrigerator is extremely spacious and the freezer compartment is just as spacious. Although its not a necessity we also connected the refrigerator to the ThinQ app to help monitor the status of our fridge and update for all energy saving modes. The water dispenser is user-friendly for those not used to having a water dispenser on their fridge and set up was a breeze. We also greatly appreciated the advice from the install team to be sure to replace the filter every 6 months for the water dispenser. I would highly recommend this product to anybody looking to invest in a quality refrigerator for their kitchen
